Spammers (no link—yet) I am on the do-not-call list. I am opted out with Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. Yet, I continue to receive humungous quantities of junk mail, spam, faxes, and telemarketer calls. Let me say that anyone who sends me spam, either electronically or on paper, can and will be placed on a blacklist of products I will never buy! Also, I will sue you.
15USC§6101 et. seq says I may sue a telemarketer for$500 for each call they make to my residence, but Michigan law says I cannot sue in small claims court unless I suffer financial loss and you don't lose money by being called by a telemarketer. Most lawyers won't handle a $500 lawsuit or will charge you more than $500. Our legislators should change this law. You should be able to sue for a larger amount, say $5,000 per call, and you should be able to sue in small claims court in the district where you reside, regardless of the caller's location. And the government should expand the law to cover spam emails and text messages. Sign this petition
When a telemarketer does finally get through, I have a solution for that too. I play along with them and pretend I am interested in their product.. When I finally get connected to a human salesperson, I speak very softly to get them to put the phone up close to their ear. Then I blow a whistle (the type football referees use) into the phone. They love it!
Landlines I have a Telezapper on my landline phone and a Sentry call blocker. This combination answers rejected calls for 3 seconds, plays the "three-tone salute," then hangs up. If you don't have a telezapper,(they are only about $20 on eBay,) you can substitute for one by dialing a disconnected number and recording the "three-tone salute (technically called the SIT tones.)" Then play this recording at the beginning of your voicemail greeting message.
Cell Phones if your phone is from T-mobile/Sprint/MetroPCS, get the ScamShield app. If from AT&T, get the CallProtect app. If from Verizon, get the CallFilter app. If from Cricket, get the CallDefense app. If from Consumer Cellular, get the SpamAndCallScreen app. If from Boost, get the CallScreenerPlus app. If from another company, look it up or ask and let me know so I can add it to this page. MANY HIRING MANAGERS WILL WANT TO LOOK AT YOUR CELL PHONE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SPAM BLOCKER APP INSTALLED, THEY WILL REFUSE TO HIRE YOU. THEY DON'T WANT YOU ANSWERING SPAM CALLS ON COMPANY TIME. I DON'T BLAME THEM.
Junk Mail I take all my junk mail and mark "REFUSED--Return to sender" om it and put it in the mailbox. They love it. And if you are so kind as to include a business reply envelope in the junk mail you send me, I will be happy to enclose a few lead washers to help you control your postal costs.
I am an electrical engineer, and here is some information you should have. Many mental health people have taken the traits that a person must have to be good at engineering (attention to details, good math skills, ability to concentrate) and labeled a person with those skills as Asperger's Syndrome. Psychiatrists and psychologists consider this a severe defect and would probably recommend such a person be confined to a psychiatric ward. If you Google "Engineers with Asperger's," you will find a lot of discussion on this subject. Mental health professionals (whose credibility is less than astrologers and sorcerers) can't even do simple math problems like calculus and differential equations but go on to claim God-like powers and infallibility. (They say people in other professions with this trait have "delusions of grandeur." They do their most to discredit those who question their intelligence and ability, but the skills they claim to have are non-existent. There is NO SUCH THING as mental health. A deck of Tarot cards is more accurate at predicting who will become a serial killer! Two movies that show the harm these people do to society are "A Clockwork Orange" and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest." If they are going to badmouth my profession, I am going to badmouth theirs!
This is why so many of us fight a lifelong battle against obesity. So I am a victim of a terrorist tonsillectomy. I have been battling all my life with weight problems. Here are some things I have learned along the way. "Organic" is a fraud scheme farmers have set up to raise prices. Non-organic foods are just as healthy and nutritious and cost considerably less. On the other hand, buying non-GMO is necessary. GMO foods have been sprayed with glyphosate, a carcinogen. And MyFtnessPal is the best app for counting calories
