To: Personnel Manager,
Dear Sir or Madam.
I am an
initiative-taking, innovative, and hands-on team
player and leader, and I have experience in project management, personnel
supervision, control system design, and building/facilities design. I have completed the complete creation of
control systems, including specification writing, procuring
of materials, hardware, and software design, supervising the construction of
control panels, installation, commissioning, and debugging. I tried to retire recently, but Social
Security doesn't pay enough. Therefore, there are a few
gaps in my employment history.
I was fortunate to have started work for a small Ford
plant undergoing several significant expansions. This
allowed me to become proficient with building and facilities technologies. As most electrical engineers have experience
in either controls or power/facilities, but not both, I can replace two
engineers if your needs include both skill sets. Also, Ford began using outside vendors for
more of their factory work, and I became proficient in project management. I have written plant electrical
specifications and collaborated with plant safety and corporate standards groups
to guarantee the quality of control systems used on new tools, machinery, and
systems.
Suppose you look at my resume's "Control System
Design" section. In that case, you
will notice that I take immense pride in my ability to design systems that
maximize uptime, minimize downtime, and reduce or minimize the manufacture of
defective (scrap) parts (Poka-Yoke) while paying close attention to ensuring operator safety. These qualities are essential to me, and I certainly
hope those qualities are critical to you.
Confident in my ability to produce equivalent results for
your company, I urge you to contact me so that we may talk about your specific
engineering design or management needs and my credentials in detail. I can do hardware and PLC software design or
upgrades in addition to engineering management functions, including personnel
management and budgetary/project management.
Thank you for your time and attention.
I look forward to our conversation.
To save both of us time, I include
the following: I am a US Citizen. I have
limited mobility (mostly bad knees but also asthma) and can't
climb on machinery, stand for more than ½ hour, or lift heavy weights (over 50
pounds). And can't work in a plant floor environment
but could do a remote (WFH) assignment.
I am UNABLE TO RELOCATE.
I have Medicare and receive Social Security; therefore, I do not need
medical benefits. I have no problem
working up to 60 hours per week. I am
available immediately.
Sincerely
Larry Tessari
